Two decades of living, twenty years of existence, and 7,305 days since I was born. Yep, that’s how long I’ve been alive. And let me tell you, it’s been one rollercoaster of a ride — the memories, the challenges, and the blessings. I am so thankful and grateful for the many people that I’ve crossed paths with; the people that has shaped me to be the lady that I am today. I cannot begin to describe how much miracles I’ve experienced through the grace of God, and how I hope to be able to grow up to be someone who is able to share His word. And now that my future has somewhat been laid out for me — now that I am in the nursing program, I believe that my calling is to share his word through compassion and care in the field of medicine.
BUT today, I had a birthday that was completely unplanned. I woke up to the sound of stereos blaring out a happy birthday song along with my mother’s singing. It was a beautiful moment. I was treated to a home-cooked breakfast of fried chicken, and I was presented by my mother with two beautiful winter coats as a gift. Later at noon, I was picked up by my friends for a lunch out at Shirley’s Coffee Shop and was treated to a meal course of: Sisig, Crispy Pata, Chicken Chaser, Shirley’s Fried Rice, and Crepes. We then dropped food off at one of our friend’s workplace, then hung out at Maria’s place. Later in the evening, my mother picked me up after her work, then we drove off to Nikki’s house to bid farewell before her flight. At night, I treated my mother to Spiderman: Homecoming, which by the way is one of the best movies I’ve seen!
Overall, being twenty? It’s amazing!
